Sometime in January, Evelyn found her thumb and has developed quite a fondness for it. Here's a clip of her still trying to coordinate her hands to her mouth.
Around 12 weeks (end of January) Evelyn started sleeping through the night, about 7-8 hours. What you have to understand is that she would go to bed about 7 pm an 8 hours later it would be 3 o'clock in the morning. Way to early for me! That only lasted about 2 weeks though. She reverted back to her 3-4 hour shifts. Before I knew it would last a short time, I was concerned about her weight gain and made an appointment with the lactation consultant. So at 3 months, she was 14 lbs. That's a gain of 1lb 9oz. It was at the low end of what the nurses like to see but nothing to be concerned about.
Evelyn's binocular vision started to come in the middle of February. Here's a clip of her getting control of her arm movements to pull down on the blue ring. If you turn up the volume you may be able to hear the music. You can imagine this brought her much frustration before. Now she pulls it down with ease. You might notice which hand she's using to pull down. Jeremy's left-handed along with my brother and his mom, so who knows. We may have another lefty in the family.
The big 4 month appointment came on March 3rd.
Here were Evelyn's stats:
Weight: 15lb 3oz (85%, already doubled her birth weight)
Height: 25 3/4 in (90%)
Head Circumference: 41cm (50%)
Now for the grand finale...
After much training in doing push-ups, butt lifts and rotating on the belly as shown in the clip,
She finally rolled over for the first time on April 3rd. Although I have been back to work full-time now, I was still able to witness this first! WOO!
